Research notes
M-cone monochromacy (Green-cone mono) keeps the
M-cone response while L and S channels are removed. A small rod
fallback stabilizes luminance without introducing chromatic bias.
Severity and deep mode allow experimental blends. Not a clinical
diagnostic.

Clinical notes: Green-cone monochromacy weights reflect L=0, M=1, S=0 (pure M-cone).
Adjusting weights allows research exploration of partial cone contributions. Not a clinical
diagnostic — see model assumptions for limits.
Model assumptions & limits
- This model operates via sRGB → LMS transform; accuracy depends on the chosen LMS matrix.
- Severity curves are heuristic and do not replace clinical diagnoses.
- ΔE and chromaticity measures use standard CIE conversions but depend on display/profile.
